The Turner County Board of Education wants to know the opinions of their community on the proposed changes that will go into effect on July 1. The board will hold a public hearing at 7 p.m. on May 6, 2014, at the county office building, 111 W. Main St., in Turner. The public is invited to attend the public hearing.
Turner County is a very conservative community, so I’m sure people will be very interested in hearing what the board has to say.

That’s a bad idea for a number of reasons. First, the superintendent is one of the most qualified people to run the district. Second, the superintendent has said he is not happy with the way the board has handled the budget situation.
