This is only one of the many programs we have to offer. As a project of the City of Portland’s Department of Public Works and Transportation, we have been developing a comprehensive energy education program for the city. We invite you to join us as we work towards a bright future for our city.
We are currently developing a nationwide energy education program that will integrate and provide energy literacy training for adults and children. We are working with more than a hundred organizations in the Chicago area, including the Chicago Climate Exchange, the Chicago Energy Literacy Project, the National Association for Energy Education, and the Alliance for a Sustainable Economy. Our energy education curriculum will focus on topics like renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, and the benefits of energy conservation.
Our goal is to create one day of educational programming that will educate and empower citizens of all ages to understand the causes of climate change and the benefits of reducing their energy usage. Our hope is that people will become more aware and motivated because they will have a better understanding of their role in solving the problem.
Our curriculum is currently being developed in the spring of 2016 and will be implemented in the fall of 2017. For the last year we have been developing and testing curriculum with schools, colleges, and groups throughout the United States. We have completed our curriculum work with over 50 schools and are currently looking for more schools to do the same.
The first project we are developing is called Energy Education, a project that will be designed to educate and empower people in the United States. We are currently working with over 500 schools in the U.S., and we will be designing and implementing the curriculum with them.
When I first started the Energy Education Project, I was very concerned that they would teach the wrong things to the wrong people. I worried that children would be taught about all of the bad things that could happen to them, and how to avoid them. I’m glad to say with Energy Education they are teaching good things, and in a way that will benefit everyone.
The good things are that kids will learn about power generation, alternative energy sources, the importance of conservation, and how to protect themselves from the common, but insidious, dangers of power. And because they will learn to protect themselves, they will be able to protect their families and friends, as well.
This brings us to the next point. The main bad thing that could happen to them? The bad thing that could happen to them is a nuclear holocaust. That would be bad! But what makes it worse is that the power they have is what keeps them safe. The energy they have is what keeps them alive. That’s why they are in school, so they can learn to protect themselves.

So it’s all good, but when a person is in a new place that you just want to get to know them, it can be hard to get to know them more, and their life experiences change everything. And there’s always that chance you get to be where you want to be.
