multicultural education: issues and perspectives

by editor k

I’ve spent a lot of time in schools that were more diverse and I’ve noticed that everyone is learning something different, but I think there is no doubt that it is a worthwhile goal that needs to be pursued.

My biggest issue with the multicultural education movement is that the people that I have encountered who are passionate about it have very little time to devote themselves to their work. I think it is also a bit of a waste of time because it is likely that someone in a classroom who is learning about the world around them will end up with knowledge that is better suited to someone else who is learning about the same thing.

In the educational setting, the issue is that a person should be learning about the world around them and should be teaching the world around them. If that person is going to be reading a book about the world around them, the person doing the teaching should be the one who teaches the same information to the person reading the book.

There’s also the issue of diversity. A teacher who is diverse in her experiences and perspectives will hopefully be able to teach the same information to a student who is not as diverse in her experiences or who might not be as well versed in the topics.

The point is that teaching material to someone who isn’t going to be a good student is just as bad as teaching the same information to someone who is. However, that doesn’t mean that the teacher isn’t responsible for all of the students who won’t be doing well. Even if she is the one teaching the material to the first group, she still has to teach to the rest of the students who aren’t as well versed in the material.

There are multiple perspectives on the same topic. Some people, like myself, tend to think about things in terms of the facts, and the rest of the community tend to think about things in terms of who is most knowledgeable, or who is most likely to be the next president. While these are both valid perspectives, they are not the same perspective.

Is there any reason why the same group of people would have a similar view? No, at the very least, I think most people are probably right. If you have a friend who is one of the most knowledgeable and most likely to be the next president, that doesn’t mean you are correct.

This is an important point to understand. There are many people for whom a person is known to be one of the most knowledgeable or the most likely to be the next president. In these situations, the only perspective that they have is the perspective of the person. For a larger group of people who are not the exact same type of person, there is a different point of view, which is often called a different perspective.

Many times, we hear about the “multicultural” schools being the perfect setting for these people to learn, and the “multicultural” people that would be the ones who would most likely become the next president, but these are just a few examples. In reality, some of the people who are the most powerful in the world are also the ones who are not the most knowledgeable, the most likely to be the next president, or the most likely to be the most educated.
