The Metropolitan Education Commission (MEC) is a public service corporation that serves as an advocate for the education of our children. The MEC hosts an annual festival that is a celebration of education, community, and the arts. I am a little sad to report that the summer festival of the arts is on hiatus for the near future. I have been trying to contact the MEC to see if we can put together a celebration for this year, but it seems that the MEC is currently considering the idea of doing a festival, possibly held in the spring. I am not sure that this is a good idea, but it is what the MEC is doing with the festival.
I would really like to see a celebration for the Summer Festival of the Arts. I don’t know how much money it could cost to cover the events, but I think that it would be a great way for the MEC to help fund the festival. We have a great summer festival, and I’m sure we would be able to keep the festival going.
