Learning to live with less isn’t always easy. This is especially true for people in the lower socio-economic strata. There are a number of social and environmental changes happening in the current climate that can make it difficult to live as well as we’d like. The environmental education research studies can give us a glimpse into the types of things we can do to help ourselves and the environment, and offer a few tactics to help make our everyday environments a little better.

The research studies (like the one we mentioned earlier) ask subjects to think about the ways they influence their environment. For example, a group of subjects might be asked to think about how they feel when they see or smell a certain smell, or how they feel when they see or touch a certain object. Researchers also examine the subjects’ behavior to see if they act in ways that are conducive to their environment.

This is a great way to get interested in environmental education, and to learn to think about the environment in a different way.
