We are fortunate that high quality education is a thing in the United States. Our nation has a lot of high-quality public schools. But we also have a number of schools that are poor. In the past, these schools were called “Boys’ and Girls’ schools,” named for the fact that the students were often boys and girls of the same age. But that’s not an accurate description today, as there is a lot of diversity in schools.
