I was able to get up in the middle of the night to find the burke county board of education website. I had the impression that it was some kind of government website, but it turns out to be a website dedicated to public schools in the burke county.
The schools are pretty boring, though. I guess if you really want to know about things like the new school bus that’s going to replace the one that was destroyed in a fire, you have to go to the school board of education.
One of the things that is interesting is that, rather than being a board of education, this site actually is a school district. So the schools would have to be run by a board of education, but I guess the districts would have to be run by districts, too.
This is probably one of the most interesting aspects of the new website, which is that it provides a lot of information about the district. There are some more information regarding the district than I could keep track of, but it’s not something I could keep track of.
For what it’s worth, the district is pretty much a typical one out of the 50-plus states with a population of under 300,000. There is a lot of information regarding the school system, district finances, and the district’s mission. I would guess the district has been around for well over a century.
