The new board of education will continue to expand its use of standardized testing and is expected to hire an additional six employees by the end of the current school year. The board has been forced to find new ways to collect data, and the new office space will be the perfect place to do it.
It’s not quite clear how much of a problem standardized testing has become, but the fact is that the state of Texas has been forced to spend billions of dollars on tests for the most basic of skills in order to keep the state’s schools afloat. After a decade of such testing, the state has had to admit that most students are not learning as much as they could be. By the end of the year, the board of education will be required to hire a new administrator.
The first thing you need to know is that this new administrator is not a very popular figure in Texas. He is the same guy who was forced to resign from the board after being caught sleeping with a co-worker’s wife. The second thing you need to know is that the new administrator has a lot of power. He’s the guy who will be in charge of the massive standardized testing that the schools have to offer.
I am going to write a review post about how to get the board of education to take care of this. Hopefully this will help you get some new administrators to take care of these requirements as well as giving you a better chance to get your head around the new administration.
