I have been working at a program called: “Assisting Living Education” for 4 years. This is a nonprofit organization that helps people of all ages and backgrounds to find self-awareness to prevent stress, learn to manage their emotions and their own behavior, and stay out of trouble.
We have been helping more and more people find and recover from their own personal issues by helping them identify what they’re doing to get themselves into trouble and then helping them break that pattern. All of their services are free, and they work with schools and public places all over the U.S. We offer a variety of services: Counseling, Personal Transformation, Anger Management, Stress Management, Coping, Meditation and more.

Many of our instructors are not only certified in various subject areas, but they also have specialized skills to offer in the classroom for students, including the following.
A teacher who specializes in special education needs to have a specialized knowledge of behavioral assessments. A teacher with an occupational therapy degree will be able to assist students in learning to be more comfortable around others and to be more self-sufficient.
A student who needs to use their skills to learn to behave more effectively in class. For example, you might be able to learn to behave if you’re on the fence, and you may learn to behave if you’re on the phone.
If you need a teacher with a specialized knowledge of behavioral assessments, that’s going to vary. Different teachers have different kinds of behavioral assessments. Some may be assessment centers that work to improve the individual student’s behavior in the classroom. Others are specialized to work with a certain type of student. For example, a teacher may become a behavior specialist because they have a specialized understanding of a child’s needs in that area or because they have a specialized knowledge of a particular program.
As it turns out, you can choose to focus on some students or on others. For example, if you are interested in children ages three-to-six years old, you could work with them at home, in school, or a combination of both. If you’re interested in children ages six-to-eight years old, you could work with them at school, at home, or a combination of both.
If you’re interested in working with kids 12-and-under, you could help them with some activities, like helping them with homework and getting them to do homework at night, at school, in their school, or a combination of both.
