Ashley Carter is the first woman to serve as a member of the DC State Board of Education. She was chosen over a dozen candidates who were all chosen to fill slots on the board. She was chosen by the DC Council of Education on a point-by-point basis to fill the vacancy on the board.
To say that she’s a strong proponent of equality in education is an understatement. She is a champion for all who are on the left of the political spectrum. She’s a fierce defender of “all students,” and she stands up to those who would restrict their rights. As a result, she’s a force for equity in education.
Now that its been a few days, its time for a little more discussion- why is a woman on the board? Because she is a strong, and vocal supporter of education equity. She is a champion for all students and advocates for all students.
She has a lot of experience running educational boards. So she has a lot of experience running educational boards. So one thing that I think of her most is that she is a tough person who is willing to take her time and do what she feels like. We know she is. And so I think the second point is that the people on the board are really strong people and that’s why they have such a hard time getting them elected.

I also think that the most important thing that she is for is that she is really strong and not afraid of doing what needs to be done. She is really, really strong in her beliefs and she is really, really, really, really strong in her beliefs.
She is the person that I would want to have on my side in any board situation. She is a tough person that I think is really strong and really willing to take her time and do what she feels like. In most situations we would want someone who was strong and really willing to do what needed to be done.
But we do.
